SUMMARY:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment including any electrical, hydraulic and mechanical servicing by performing the following duties. $20-30/ hourShift:
7pm-7am or 7am-7pm on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule including weekendsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.- Inspects, tests, adjusts and repairs injection & vinyl dip molding machinery, extrusion and auxiliary equipment and records maintenance data as needed.
- Fills out inspection & PM forms.
- Supports technicians who are engaged with machine or molding problems.
- Occasionally required to perform purging functions upon request.
- Performs die‑setting responsibilities upon request.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Lubricates and cleans parts and equipment.
- Repairs any water leaks and heater problems.
- Inspects, tests, adjusts and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment limited live electrical.
- Maintains hydraulic operations.
- Sustains HVAC basic troubleshooting and maintenance requirements.
- Installs plumbing for air, water and gas pipes.
- Follows documented preventive maintenance program to preserve proper working condition of facility equipment.
- Assists in relocation of office furniture and plant equipment as needed.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Perform utility person duties when required.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Performs welding, soldering, brazing and torch cutting as required.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Performs snow shovels & operates snow blowing equipment to clear snow, as needed.
- Position takes work direction from Maintenance Lead person, Molding Supervisors, VDM Leads/Supervisor as well as Facility Manager.
- Assists in training of new maintenance mechanics
