We're looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanical Assembly Technician, Metal Working & Quality Control Assistant. Position Summary This role combines mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, and quality control support. The ideal candidate will assist in assembling mechanical components, perform basic metal-working tasks, and help ensure products meet all quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Assembly:

Assemble mechanical parts, subassemblies, and equipment according to drawings and work instructions Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments Perform troubleshooting and adjustments during assembly Maintain clean and organized workstations

Metal Working:

Perform basic metal fabrication tasks including cutting, drilling, grinding, deburring, and forming Operate metal-working equipment such as drill presses, grinders, saws, and pneumatic tools Assist in preparing materials for welding or machining (depending on skill level) Ensure all metal parts are produced to required tolerances and finish standards Follow proper safety procedures when handling metal and operating equipment

Quality Control Assistance:

Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other QC tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Document inspection results and help track nonconformances Support continuous improvement activities and help identify root causes of defects Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling in manufacturing, machining, or metal fabrication is a plus 1-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, metal working, manufacturing, or quality control Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions Familiarity with metal-working tools and equipment Strong attention-to-detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently or as part of a team Good communication and basic computer skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working with metal components and machinery Manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts Why Join Us Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision benefits Opportunities for training and advancement in assembly, metal fabrication, and QC Positive and supportive work environment
