Hr Rotational Evenings Title:
Industrial Mechanic Pay:
$25
  • 30; + $1 shift premium
Location:
Bedford, OH Shift:
12-hour Rotational 6:30pm
  • 7:00am (3-4 days/week, including weekends)
Type:
Direct Hire Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and facility systems. Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on facility infrastructure, including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, and structural components. Keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the facility structure in a well-maintained and operational condition. Clean, lubricate, and adjust shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Repair or replace defective machinery components, including motors, pumps, valves, belts, and bearings. Perform general building maintenance tasks as needed. Conduct furnace repair and relining procedures according to established guidelines. Safely operate a forklift for material handling and equipment movement. Regularly inspect and ensure all safety equipment is present and in proper working order. Strictly adhere to all company safety practices and rules, including proper use of PPE. Follow all company policies and procedures, and always maintain a proper code of conduct. Perform hot work (welding, cutting, etc.) and lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with safety regulations. Keep management informed of any machinery and facility problems, potential hazards, and maintenance needs.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of hand tools is essential. A strong candidate will possess practical experience in electrical systems, welding techniques, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. without difficulty. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision.
