AM Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Assemblers to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring true mechanical assembly skills. Candidates must have a proven background in mechanical assembly, as this expertise is crucial for success in the position. While electronics assembly experience is appreciated, our focus is on mechanical assembly capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Assemble fabricated and electrical components, sub-assemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. Interpret work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions to determine materials and sequence of assembly. Fabricate and install flexibar as required. Install larger power wires, including retrieving, crimping lugs, and applying heat-shrink sleeves. Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards. Document and communicate progress, issues, and updates to supervision as needed. Utilize 3D solid model viewers to interpret assembly instructions accurately.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Prior experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment or equivalent mechanical skills.
Skills:
Proficient use of hand tools and wire crimpers. Ability to handle intricate parts and follow detailed instructions. Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
Other Requirements:
Must pass a 5-panel drug screen and background check (no felonies within the past 7 years). Reliable attendance and a positive attitude. Steel-toed shoes are required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and instructions. Capable of lifting and handling heavy parts up to 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for the entire eight-hour shift. Perform tasks involving bending, squatting, kneeling, or climbing a stepladder. Good hand dexterity for installing small hardware. Clear vision to inspect parts and assemblies.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with electrical assembly. Familiarity with a variety of computer programs. Ability to document work accurately.
