Job Summary We are seeking a Packaging Mechanic / Lead Operator to join our innovative tea manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment to ensure seamless production flows. In addition to machine operating and maintenance you will be asked to perform various duties like shipping/receiving. Responsibilities Lead the setup, operation, and maintenance of packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments, and analysis skills. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, fillers, cappers, labelers, and wrapping machines. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and other industrial control systems to monitor and optimize operations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to industrial mechanics, electrical systems, HVAC/R systems, and high-voltage equipment. Support field service activities by diagnosing issues on-site at various manufacturing stages or customer locations when necessary. Train team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques to foster a knowledgeable workforce. Qualifications Proven experience working in an industrial manufacturing facility with a focus on mechanical maintenance and operations. Strong knowledge of industrial mechanics including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (including <

> welding), electrical systems, HVAC/R systems, and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot complex machinery efficiently. Demonstrated ability to perform welding tasks specific to manufacturing environments with a focus on safety standards. Electrical experience including working with high voltage and low voltage systems; industrial electrician experience is highly valued. Familiarity with field service operations within a manufacturing setting; customer service skills are a plus. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing mechanical or electrical issues quickly and accurately. Experience operating scissor lifts or other industrial lifts safely in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
