Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician for a precision manufacturing client in Fairfield, OH. This position is onsite, Monday

• Friday from 7:30am
• 3:30pm.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and inspecting custom turbine support equipment and mechanical systems in accordance with engineering drawings, bills of material (BOMs), work instructions, and quality standards. This position requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and experience using precision measuring instruments and assembly tools. Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical systems using engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Install and assemble bearings, shafts, tubing, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and related hardware.
• Perform pipe threading, tube flaring, and swaging.
• Complete precision fitting, alignment, and adjustment of assemblies.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
• Verify parts and materials prior to assembly.
• Perform mechanical inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of completed assemblies.
• Identify and report nonconforming materials or assembly issues.
• Accurately document assembly and testing activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist with packaging and shipment preparation as needed.

•  2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
•  Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment.
•  Experience with electromechanical assemblies.
•  Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
•  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
•  Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
•  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•  Experience with gas turbines, power generation, and/or rotating equipment.
•  Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
•  Electrical background with the ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
•  Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
