Job Description

  • Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician
  • The Mechanical Assembly Technician builds complex sub-assemblies and final assemblies used in custom extrusion, injection, and blow molding machines. This role involves interpreting detailed work orders and highly customized blueprints to assemble machinery to precise specifications, while supporting equipment start-up, processing, repair, and rebuild activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Strong mechanical assembly with experience building machinery.

+ Proficient blueprint reading skills, including interpreting very custom and detailed drawings.

+ Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and components.

+ Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems and components.

+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and apply effective problem-solving skills.

+ Capability to assemble and install major components and sub-assemblies with minimal supervision.

+ Competence in maintaining specified tolerances and performing precision alignment tasks.

+ Ability to safely operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saws, surface grinders, and similar equipment.

+ Ability to safely operate a forklift when required.

+ Strict adherence to safety protocols and programs.

+ Ownership of a basic mechanic tool set; custom tools are provided as needed.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in machine building within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

+ Familiarity with extrusion, injection, or blow molding machinery assembly is beneficial.

+ Comfort working from detailed work orders and custom engineering documentation.

+ Willingness to support start-up, processing, repair, and rebuild activities as part of daily responsibilities.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a plant setting.

+ Interest in ongoing skills development, including potential use of tuition assistance programs.

  • This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $56160.

00 - $66560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
