Full Job Description AVANTech, LLC Columbia, SC Who We Are:
AVANTech, LLC solves some of the most challenging problems in the water industry - from being first responders to the Fukushima Nuclear Plant meltdown to implementing patented first-of-its-kind technology. Our projects include industrial water recycling and cleaning up legacy cold war wastewater at government sites. AVANTech's goal is to improve the environment around us and support our clients with innovative sustainable water treatment solutions.
Who You Are:
The Industrial Mechanic must have the ability to read blueprints and be able to follow design specifications. A working knowledge of electrical wiring and instrumentation and controls is a plus Understanding of valves, flanges, and gaskets Mechanically able to glue PVC piping together using a PVC piping drawing Excellent troubleshooting skills HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or auto mechanic experience is helpful Forklift and scissor lift use Ability to use an overhead crane Ability to follow blueprint drawings and bend stainless steel tubing is a plus The industrial mechanic must be able to work in confined spaces Hydrostatic testing experience Pneumatic tubing experience Occasional travel required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing business needs Candidate must be able to pass drug test, background check, and physical Must be able to work with safe working practices
