This role builds the mechanical side of those systems
  • the enclosures, cabinets, and frames that each machine is built on.
This is a temporary, full-time position with an immediate start. The initial assignment is 3 months and is renewable, with the possibility of converting to a permanent position based on performance and business need. This is a hands-on mechanical assembly role. You build enclosures, cabinets, and frames from mechanical drawings, and mount components and hardware to specification.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and assemble enclosures, cabinets, frames, and sub-assemblies from mechanical drawings
  • Mount components, fasteners, and hardware to specification
  • Read mechanical drawings and bills of material
  • Use hand and power tools; drilling, tapping, cutting to length; torque to spec
  • Test and inspect each unit before it advances (calipers, indicators, measurement tools)
  • Log labor and progress accurately
Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or equipment-build setting. Applicants without relevant assembly experience will not be considered
  • 1+ years hands-on mechanical assembly experience
  • Able to read mechanical drawings and bills of material
  • Comfortable with hand and power tools
  • Attention to detail; zero-defect standard
  • Available to start immediately
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or better in a technology specialty such as electronics, electrical technology, industrial automation, machine tools, or a related technical field
  • Experience wiring or routing harnesses, cable assemblies, or control panels
Job Type:

This is a temporary position. Benefits are not offered during the temporary assignment.
Pay:
$22.00
