Here's The Role Note:
This position is at our Fayette Power Plant location. We are seeking a hands-on, detail driven Senior Energy Mechanic for our maintenance team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our operations, taking charge of the upkeep, inspections, and repair of critical equipment across multiple dynamic facilities: Fayette Power Plant, Lost Pines, Sim Gideon, Winchester Power Park, Ferguson and Timmerman. How You'll Contribute Perform end-to-end maintenance on industrial mechanical equipment, including air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps, and fans. Construct and weld custom piping and structural frameworks according to design schematics. Operate fabrication equipment for cutting, welding, and fitting metals while strictly adhering to safety requirements. Execute OSHA-compliant excavations and industrial surface preparation, including sandblasting and painting operations. Partner with electrical and control technicians to execute daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and system upgrades. Operate handheld manual tools and power tools (e.g., rock saws and cut-off saws) in performing repair and maintenance tasks. How You're Qualified Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. Driver's license How You'll Stand Out Proficient in adhering to safety and maintenance procedures. Experience welding, maintaining fabrication and using power tools.
