Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Crane Mechanic to join our dynamic industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of cranes and related lifting equipment within a manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of cranes, supporting our production processes and maintaining high safety standards. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various types of cranes, including overhead, gantry, and jib cranes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Conduct equipment diagnostics utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track maintenance history and schedule repairs efficiently. Repair and replace components including motors, gears, brakes, wiring, switches, and hydraulic parts to restore optimal crane functionality. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting manuals for complex electrical and mechanical systems. Utilize industrial mechanic experience to diagnose issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, and HVAC/R systems that impact crane operations. Maintain detailed maintenance logs, safety records, and inspection reports while adhering to all safety protocols during repair activities. Requirements Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a focus on crane or heavy equipment maintenance. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting pneumatic systems, hydraulics, and electrical blueprint reading. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals; familiarity with CMMS is preferred. Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; certification in HVAC/R or industrial electrician experience is a plus. Skilled in welding ( welding preferred), mechanical repairs, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices including electrical maintenance, equipment repair, analysis skills, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, electrical systems diagnostics, and troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Excellent customer service orientation combined with strong analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment issues quickly.
