Employment:
Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of manufacturing and facility equipment in a fast-paced sheet metal production environment in Yorktown, VA. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working with CNC fabricating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding equipment, and industrial machinery. Responsibilities Maintain and repair plant production equipment, including: CNC Turret Punch Presses CNC Lasers CNC Panel Benders Belt sanders and grinders Welding machines Ovens Powder coating equipment Specialized mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery Diagnose equipment problems and determine the appropriate repair. Disassemble equipment and replace worn or defective components such as motors, bearings, shafts, belts, and other mechanical parts. Rebuild equipment, test operation, and make final adjustments. Install, relocate, and modify plant equipment. Lay out and install conduit, water lines, and air lines. Pull and terminate electrical wiring and make necessary equipment connections. Balance electrical power supply as required. Monitor, maintain, and service compressors and dust collection systems. Maintain and repair building systems and equipment. Inspect electrical controls and replace defective components. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance throughout the plant. Lubricate equipment and change fluids and filters as required. Fabricate parts when necessary and feasible for equipment repairs. Perform plumbing and welding maintenance activities. Report deficiencies in replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supplies. Maintain accurate written records of repairs and preventive maintenance. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Required Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of maintenance experience required. High school diploma or equivalent experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to use shop mathematics and precision measuring equipment, including: Micrometers Calipers Multimeters Ability to read and work from: Electrical schematics PLC schematics Blueprints Equipment manuals Technical reference materials Written and verbal instructions Sketches Proficient with hand and power tools. Experience using machine tools, drill presses, grinders, and sanders. Welding experience, including gas and electric welding equipment. Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment. Experience with acetylene torches and related equipment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Strong team player with excellent communication skills. Experience with CNC fabricating equipment preferred. EVE1
