Job Description

Western Commercial Properties manages commercial business parks in Anchorage, Wasilla, and Palmer. We're a locally owned company with over 55 years in the industry, and we take pride in our network of managed commercial buildings, high-quality work and reputation. We're looking for an energetic, self-motivated, reliable Maintenance Technician(s) who wants a long-term career. Work is primarily in Anchorage, with some travel to Wasilla and Palmer. Occasional overtime may be required at times. Work detail to include but not be limited to:
  • Light electrical work (including changing bulbs and ballasts and outlets/switches, etc.);
  • Prepping and Painting of spaces and halls (both spray and hand rolling);
  • Cove base installation,
  • Light plumbing repair (replacing wax rings, replacing angle stops, replacing sinks or supply lines, etc.);
  • Drywall repair or including tape, texture or small installation;
  • Trash pick up on properties;
  • Light framing activity or demolition;
  • Snow shoveling; and Other work as needed or requested Periodic overtime may be required and compensation for periodic emergency on-call work.
Applicants must have a good understanding of most processes noted above and be capable of learning others. Applicants must have a good work ethic and ability to work alone without supervision at times. Must have basic hand tools. Applicant may work several work scenarios a day from emergency services to routine maintenance in commercial settings across Anchorage, Palmer and Wasilla for a variety of different property owners and tenants.
