Sea School is looking for a dependable and experienced Maintenance Person to help maintain our Bayou La Batre facility. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and has experience with general building maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities may include:

General building maintenance and repairs Minor plumbing repairs, including replacing toilets, faucets, and drainage piping Replacing light fixtures and handling other minor electrical repairs Changing and maintaining A/C filters Basic preventative maintenance throughout the facility Organizing and maintaining training equipment and STCW gear Minor groundskeeping and exterior upkeep Identifying maintenance issues before they become larger problems Keeping maintenance and storage areas clean and organized Other general facility projects as needed What we're looking for: Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, or similar experience Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs independently Dependable and able to manage assigned projects Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and working both indoors and outdoors Must have reliable transportation

Position:

Full-Time or Part-Time Pay:

Starting at $22-$25, depending on experience

Location:

Sea School - Bayou La Batre, Alabama This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in keeping a facility maintained, organized, and in good working condition.

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
