Full-Time Position Summary Planeworx, LLC is seeking a reliable and hardworking Hangar Attendant to help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hangar environment supporting our aircraft maintenance operations. In this role you will assist with aircraft movement, hangar upkeep, shop cleanliness, and general support tasks that keep our maintenance team operating efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with towing, positioning, and moving aircraft in and out of the hangar safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hangar, shop, and ramp environment.
  • Sweep, mop, and clean hangar floors, work areas, and equipment on a regular basis.
  • Assist Aircraft Maintenance Technicians with basic support tasks as directed.
  • Load, unload, and organize parts, tooling, and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain fuel, oil, and fluid spill readiness and assist with cleanup as required.
  • Assist with opening and closing hangar doors and securing the facility.
  • Monitor and maintain shop supplies, consumables, and cleaning materials.
  • Assist with aircraft washing and detailing as assigned.
  • Help maintain organized storage of ground support equipment (GSE), tooling, and consumables.
  • Report safety hazards, spills, or facility issues to the Director of Maintenance promptly.
  • Follow all safety procedures when working around aircraft, equipment, and hazardous materials.
  • Assist with receiving and staging incoming parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support general facility upkeep, including trash removal and light maintenance tasks.
  • Other duties as required and assigned by the Director of Maintenance. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a hangar, shop, warehouse, or similar environment preferred; not required.
  • Willingness to learn aircraft ground handling and towing procedures.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions accurately.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (equipment, supplies, and materials).
  • Ability to work in hangar, ramp, and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms as needed.
  • Ability to push, pull, and maneuver aircraft tow bars and ground support equipment.
  • Must pass required pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing as applicable. Working Conditions
  • Primarily hangar and ramp-based work environment.
  • Exposure to aircraft fuel, lubricants, solvents, and noise; PPE required as applicable.
  • May require occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call availability.
  • Standard business hours with flexibility required to support maintenance operations.
  • Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Key Performance Expectations

  • Respond promptly and professionally to requests from maintenance staff and leadership.

    • Competitive salary: $35,000 - $40,000 annually commensurate with experience
