Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in electrical systems, welding, and programmable logic controllers. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, performing repairs, and ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for equipment monitoring and control. Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues. Oversee facilities maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with staff or external vendors. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors as required, providing leadership and guidance. Assist with residential painting projects when necessary to maintain facility aesthetics. Requirements Proficiency in English for effective communication within the team and with clients. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance. Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Experience with welding processes is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to read schematics and technical documents accurately. Previous experience in manufacturing environments is a plus. Demonstrated customer service skills to foster positive relationships with stakeholders. Leadership experience is beneficial for supervising team members effectively. Knowledge of using an ohmmeter for electrical testing is advantageous.
