This job reports to Assigned Administrator Essential Functions Arranges furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations special events. Assists maintenance workers with projects (e.g. transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects in a safe, efficient manner. Builds items (e.g. counters, temporary partitions, etc.) for the purpose of modifying and/or adapting facilities to specific needs. Cleans gutters, culverts, bath basins and other drainage structures for the purpose of preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure. Coordinates with assigned lead and/or supervisor and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently. Installs system component parts, classroom and office equipment and facility components (e.g. lighting, heating and ventilating systems, alarms, plumbing, security, mechanical systems, electrical panels, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment. Maintains grounds, lawns and landscape at District buildings; including playgrounds and sports fields (e.g. fertilizes soil, courtyards, flower beds, chalk fields, paint stripping, weed control, mowing, seeding, watering, etc.) for the purpose of providing adequate, attractive and safe areas for assemblies, recreational activities and/or athletic events. Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. Performs a variety of maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, glazing, plumbing, mechanical, masonry, basic electrical and wiring work, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames. Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information. Procures supplies and materials for district (e.g. soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items. Repairs a variety of furniture and building system components for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition. Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair. Takes care of vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition. Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site. Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

KNOWLEDGE

is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Work Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent climbing and balancing, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
