Responsibilities:
Assist the Maintenance Foreman and crew with daily landscape maintenance operations Perform general landscape maintenance including weeding, raking, blowing, pruning, planting, mulching, and clean-up Assist with mowing, edging, trimming, and other routine landscape maintenance tasks Assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs Properly load, unload, organize, and care for tools, equipment, and materials Keep job sites and client properties clean, organized, and professionally maintained Help ensure all work meets Orchard's White Glove appearance and quality standards Follow directions from the Foreman and work effectively as part of a team Learn proper pruning, plant care, irrigation, and horticultural practices Operate landscape tools and equipment safely and responsibly Follow all company safety policies and procedures Follow local regulations regarding noise, blowers, and equipment use Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude while working on client properties Communicate any property issues, damaged plants, irrigation problems, or other concerns to the
Foreman Requirements:
Previous landscape or outdoor work experience preferred, but willingness to learn is most important Reliable and punctual Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work effectively as part of a team Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions Ability to safely lift and carry equipment and materials Ability to operate basic landscape tools safely Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous landscape maintenance, gardening, construction, or other outdoor labor experience Basic knowledge of plants and horticulture Experience with California Native plants Experience with pruning, irrigation, planting, mowing, or other landscape maintenance tasks Interest in developing a career in landscape maintenance Experience working on high-end residential properties
