You can request one via email, pick one up in person or download an application, at: https://www.quechantribe.com/departments-housing.html Performs routine maintenance and repairs on Rental and/or Homeownership Units under the supervision of either the Maintenance or Construction Supervisor. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic home repair methods and techniques through participation in building trades course work or previous work experience. Must be willing to follow direction and learn residential renovation and maintenance skills through diligence, hard work, and attention to detail. Education and Experience 1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), vocational training preferred, and 2 years related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Must have at least 1 year working experience with the Quechan Housing Authority maintenance department, if applicable. 3. Basic knowledge of materials and equipment used in residential building and ground maintenance in the building trades. 4. Must be knowledgeable in the correct and safe use of both power tools and hand tools. 5. Must be willing to successfully complete NCCER training in the electrical and plumbing trades funded by QHA. 6. Must have basic math and writings skills. 7. Ability to read written materials and manuals related to job tasks. Licenses Possession of a valid driver's license and be insurable with Quechan Housing Authority insurance plan. Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug test and submit to a background investigation. Must not have any felony convictions (this will also include any misdemeanors related to drugs, alcohol, violent crime, and larceny or sex offenses) and have no pending court actions of any type against him/her.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to sit, stand (for long periods of time), walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, balance, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds. The Employee must be in good physical and emotional condition adequate to meet the demands of assigned duties. Have the ability to work in local climatic conditions (Excessive heat).
