Job Description

Job Overview A 2,000 acre Gated Mountain Community in Manitou Springs with over 250 residential homes on 22 miles of paved and unpaved roads is looking for a dedicated and skilled Road Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set including the ability to operate heavy equipment including a Snow Plow and perform necessary road, vehicle and facilities maintenance. Must be available for occasional snow removal outside of regular working hours. Responsibilities Perform all work necessary for maintenance of the property and equipment for the Homeowners Association. Operation of vehicles and heavy road equipment, while meeting standards, techniques, and practices for road maintenance. Help assess road surfaces, road drainage, buildings facilities, equipment, etc., for needed maintenance, repair, or replacement. Engage in snow and hazard removal to ensure safe passage for residents and others. Assist in the scheduling or perform in-house routine and as-needed maintenance and repairs on heavy road equipment, HOA vehicles and snow-removal equipment. Help in the anticipation, prioritizing, and planning for seasonal weather impacts on road maintenance requirements to perform reliable/timely road-repair and snow-removal activities. Promptly inform the Park Manager about emergency situations, safety hazards, loss of services, and any other non-routine issues, that may require Board action. If the Park Manager is not readily available contact a member of the Board of Director using the Emergency List provided. Inform Park Manager of any challenges that may arise during construction projects. Participate and complete required safety training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to receive direction from a Supervisor, work with peers and effectively communicate with the senior staff when needed. Demonstrate proficiency with operating and maintaining heavy road maintenance/excavating equipment. Mechanical/electrical/plumbing maintenance, construction, welding.
