They have to have the skills to use a variety of equipment and the ability to work a physically demanding role that can demand on-call work to handle emergencies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to all areas of the hotel, including exterior, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical systems, floors, walls and furniture.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, plumbing, caulking etc. as instructed.
  • Understands and executes preventative maintenance in all guest rooms and public areas and ensure that the hotel is in brand compliance
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards while being sensitive to time deadlines
  • Report major repair needs to the General Manager
  • Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furniture, fixtures and other items in the hotel
  • Greeting guests in hallways in a pleasant and friendly manner
  • Ensure guest privacy is respected and confidential
  • Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Performs minor repairs on fans and air conditioners.
  • Performs routine plumbing repairs.
  • Assists in administration of special maintenance programs.
  • Assists in maintenance of departmental tools, workspaces, and equipment. The minimum qualifications for the maintenance worker position are:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to perform frequent and repetitive movements, including bending and stooping
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads
  • Must be organized and be able to perform multiple tasks at one time
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Other tasks and duties might be assigned from time to time.
