MAINTENANCE REPORTS TO
Director Early Learning Center and Daycare Center, Direct Report to Maintenance Supervisor
JOB GOAL
To provide an atmosphere in which students and teachers are safe will move toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth and maturation in accordance with Diocesan/Blessed Trinity/ and Angels in Arms philosophy, goals, and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Dispose of trash and garbage on a daily basis. Clean light fixtures, fans, exhausts, wood work on arranged time schedule.
  • Check box daily for maintenance requests from staff and arrange and complete based on priority/need.
  • Maintain safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Maintain and care for school grounds.
  • Maintain proper levels of supplies and materials related to tasks.
  • Cut grass, trim hedges, sweep and clean walks, assist in keeping outside premises clean and in orderly condition.
  • Maintain air conditioning units and air handling rooms.
  • Replace light bulbs and report damages to structure and equipment that requires repairs.
  • Move furniture and equipment as needed/assigned.
  • Paint as needed/assigned. Assist with clean-ups and cleaning as needed/assigned.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
:
  • Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency diploma and two years of verifiable experience in maintenance and repair.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • May be required to push, pull, crawl, climb, or lift 40+ pounds.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate supervision of building and grounds so that students and faculty have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn and work.
  • Ability to work with peers, administrators, and others.
  • Employer conducts background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee shall be able to: 1. Handle work which deals mostly with people, objects, equipment in a general setting; depth perception and field of vision are important. 2. Bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, climb; walking and standing approximately 70-95% of each shift. 3. Ability to maintain appropriate supervision so that students and staff have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn and work. 4. Handle multiple tasks with energy and good organizational skills. 5. Must be able to complete duties consistently; employees who have an infectious disease or skin lesion shall not be permitted to work for the duration of the communicability.
