Part-Time Groundskeeper / Maintenance Assistant

•Southeast Management Company is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Part-Time Groundskeeper / Maintenance Assistant to join our property maintenance team at The Lofts of LaGrange. This position focuses on maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the apartment community while assisting our Maintenance Technician with general repairs and property maintenance tasks. Position Responsibilities Groundskeeping & Property Appearance Walk the property regularly to identify and address litter, debris, and other items that affect the appearance of the community. Pick up trash throughout the property as needed. Keep pet waste stations emptied and stocked with supplies Keep breezeways, sidewalks, common areas, and other exterior areas clean and presentable. Assist with maintaining cleanliness around community amenities and other common areas. Help clean and organize maintenance and storage areas. Assist with moving, assembling, or relocating items throughout the property as needed. Report property damage, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to management or the Maintenance Technician. Perform other general groundskeeping duties as assigned. Maintenance Assistance Assist the Maintenance Technician with general repairs and maintenance throughout the apartment community. Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, fixture replacement, and other general maintenance tasks as directed and within the employee's training and abilities. Assist with apartment make-ready and turnover work. Help transport tools, materials, appliances, and other maintenance supplies. Assist with preventive maintenance and routine property inspections. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and instructions when performing maintenance-related tasks. Qualifications Previous groundskeeping, maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience is required. Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repairs is preferred. Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must have a strong attention to detail and take pride in maintaining a clean and well-kept property. Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Must maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members. Must be willing to learn new skills and assist with a variety of property maintenance tasks. Schedule Part-Time | Schedule to be determined The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and be available to assist with property needs during scheduled hours. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small things, and understands the importance of keeping an apartment community clean, attractive, and well maintained. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors while also learning and assisting with a variety of maintenance tasks.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
