Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic grounds and maintenance team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces and various property structures. Your expertise in landscaping, grounds maintenance, and equipment operation will ensure that our environment remains inviting, safe, and well-kept. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply your technical skills, and contribute to the overall excellence of our property. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and gardening to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs or adjustments to ensure proper water distribution. Manage plant health by identifying plant species, applying appropriate horticultural practices, and managing pest control using pesticide management protocols. Maintain outdoor structures by performing basic construction repairs, installing or repairing hardscape features like pathways or patios. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access around the property. Follow all safety protocols diligently while handling tools and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Proven experience working outdoors in grounds maintenance or landscaping roles with knowledge of horticulture principles. Familiarity with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment operation is essential. Knowledge of plant identification, lawn care techniques, tree care practices, and pesticide management is highly desirable. Prior experience with irrigation systems installation and repair enhances your ability to maintain healthy landscapes. Construction experience related to hardscape installation or repair is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work safely in outdoor environments while adhering to safety protocols is required. Previous snow plowing or winter weather maintenance experience is beneficial for seasonal responsibilities.
