Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Maintenance Assistant to support our facilities team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and safety of our community while gaining valuable hands-on experience in facilities maintenance. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and facilities infrastructure. Conduct repairs using hand tools and technical manuals to ensure optimal operation of mechanical and electrical systems. Assist with maintenance painting, carpentry, and general interior building upkeep to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Troubleshoot electrical issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and programmable logic controllers to diagnose faults accurately. Support HVAC system repair and routine servicing to ensure climate control comfort for residents and staff. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, ensure timely completion of work orders, and uphold high-quality standards. Requirements Demonstrated experience with electrical work, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC repair, and general facilities maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools, schematics, electrical equipment repair devices such as ohmmeters, and understanding of mechanical systems. Knowledge of maintenance painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and building interior upkeep. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics. Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation purposes. Prior experience with maintenance, repair operations (MRO), and familiarity with residential painting is preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety protocols at all times. Leadership qualities are a plus for potential future advancement or team collaboration.
