About the Role Perform general labor on Golf & Sports Turf construction and maintenance project sites as directed by the Golf & Sports Team Crew Leader. This position as team member is a flux role that supports both the construction and maintenance sides of the department as needed. RJ Lawn & Landscape Golf & Sports projects operate on compressed timelines, early report times, long days, and consecutive-day pushes are the norm. This approach minimizes disruption to golf courses and sports facilities and is a core part of how RJ delivers its work. Team members should understand and expect that this role requires early starts, long days, and consecutive-day availability when projects demand it. What You'll Do Perform hands-on labor on golf course and sports turf construction/maintenance sites as directed.

Assist with:

grading, shaping, planting, hauling, material handling, equipment staging, and site cleanup on construction projects. Assist maintenance crews with turf maintenance tasks including aeration support, topdressing, and general site work. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Follow instructions from Crew Leader accurately and efficiently. Attend company meetings as requested for overall company development. Support and enforce RJ Lawn & Landscape vision, mission, and core values. What We're Looking For Ability to perform physical, hands-on labor for extended periods in varying outdoor conditions. Willingness to accept and thrive in a schedule-driven work environment; early start times (5:00-6:00 AM), 12+ hour days, and consecutive-day project pushes are expected and required. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a crew. Ability to perform physical outdoor work including lifting up to 100 lbs, working on uneven terrain, shoveling, and extended periods of standing, walking, and operating equipment. Willingness to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. Basic math skills and conversions. Willingness to perform snow removal duties as assigned as part of year-round employment. Adaptability in a dynamic work environment. Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment. Able to pass a Background 21 Check.
