In this position, you will perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across various building systems and equipment. You will conduct routine cleaning, groundskeeping, snow removal, and general maintenance to keep Township buildings, grounds, and equipment safe, clean, and operational. This position falls under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and assists with other duties as assigned. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team while contributing to the ongoing success of our facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:- Remove snow and maintain lawns, shrubs, weeds, leaves, and gutters at all Township buildings
- Move, arrange, and stack equipment, furniture, tables, and chairs for Township events
- Clean windows, carpets, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas in all Township buildings
- General maintenance of all Township buildings including, but not limited to, trash removal, light bulb and ceiling tile replacement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and experience with power and hand tools
- Knowledge and experience with operating power maintenance equipment
EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of equivalent experience in general maintenance
- Must be able to lift heavy items
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and take direction
- Professional, courteous customer-service skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
