DESCRIPTION

: This full-time (M-F, 7:30AM-4PM) position performs maintenance necessary to the overall appearance and quality of the property and to maintain curb appeal. Work includes, but not limited to, unit turnaround, work orders, and maintaining facility grounds. The prior statement is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the people assigned to this job. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and skills required of a maintenance worker.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

: A qualified candidate must have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of appropriate work experience. Training or equivalent experience in working with electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, or HVAC is preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, provide proof of insurability, the ability to lift 75lbs., and must be able to work independently. A pre-employment drug screen is required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

: This is a union position that starts at $22/hr. with a top scale of $34.75/hr. under the current contract. Employees receive a combined 28 days of compensated absences (sick, vacation, personal) days beginning in their first year of employment. Additional time is earned for additional years of service. In addition to the 28 days of compensated absences, the Authority recognized 14 paid holidays per year. Employees receive employer paid health, dental, and life insurance benefits. Supplemental insurance products are available at the employee's expense. Employees also receive an annual cell phone stipend and clothing allowance.
