Full Job Description Maintenance Assistant Job Summary:

Wheaton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of comprehensive post-acute rehabilitation and clinical services, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Wheaton, Illinois. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: minor repairs, painting, and performing general upkeep of the facility Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs Assist with the maintenance and repair of equipment, fixtures, and appliances Participate in special projects and tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects; must be physically fit and able to perform daily tasks Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
