High School Diploma (Preferred) Must possess physical body, dexterity and coordination to achieve angles and positions required to perform various tasks including bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally, and ability to climb ladders and work from heights as necessary. Must be able to distinguish between different chemical materials with ability to read and understand label information. Ability to learn occasional hazard and safety precautions. Possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills Ability in prioritizing duties Ability to work in a professional manner with school community Works cooperatively with others Must have sufficient strength and ability to independently and repeatedly lift, move and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to move and carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance. Employees must be able to pass physical abilities test/post offer screening for employment.
Performance Responsibilities:
Ability to perform all custodial duties as assigned safely. Clean and restock restrooms regularly to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. Ensure facilities are clean and ready for the next event Keeps all equipment in a good state of repair and cleanliness. Ability to assure safety during inclement weather including shoveling, salting and provide protection on wet floors. Employee is required to properly use safety equipment appropriately to prevent injury to self or others. Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
