Position Description:

Aquaspersions is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high-quality water-based dispersions and emulsions. With over 50 years of experience, we supply manufacturers and formulators globally. Following our investment in a new production facility in Broussard in 2023, we are continuing to grow our US operation and are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a practical, reliable person to support the day-to-day maintenance of our manufacturing plant. Working under the direction of the Plant Manager, you will carry out assigned maintenance, repair and facility tasks to help keep the plant operating safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity to develop maintenance skills within a growing manufacturing operation. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine maintenance and repairs as instructed. Assist with equipment breakdowns and troubleshooting. Maintain pumps, valves, piping, hoses, bearings and mechanical seals. Carry out basic inspections, lubrication and preventive maintenance. Assist with maintenance of steam, compressed air and water systems. Carry out minor building and facility repairs. Support external maintenance contractors when required. Use hand and power tools safely and correctly. Maintain good housekeeping in maintenance and plant areas. Follow all company, OSHA and site safety procedures. Report equipment problems, defects and safety concerns to the Plant Manager. Experience & Skills Previous experience in a maintenance, mechanical, industrial or manufacturing environment preferred. Practical/mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Experience using basic hand and power tools. Experience with pumps, valves or other mechanical equipment is an advantage. Ability to follow instructions and work safely. Reliable, hands-on and willing to work as part of a team. Willingness to work overtime when required.
