Job Description

Ice Resurfacer Job Purpose Maintains all equipment and the ice surface, and ensures facility safety for employees and patrons - MUST
HAVE MECHANICALLY ABILITY
Hours - Weekday Mornings (as early as 4:00 AM) and occasional weekends. This is a Part Time position. Duties and Responsibilities Perform general maintenance tasks at facility, including preventative maintenance Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of ice resurfacer and edger Practice safe operating techniques for blade changes, driving, resurfacing, handling, and inspection of machines Accurately record all ice and equipment maintenance and readings daily Responsible for completing daily and weekly reports for ice maintenance and facility maintenance Maintain a clean and safe facility at all times Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately Practice excellent customer service Any other duties as assigned Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Knowledgeable about equipment maintenance and repairs Knowledgeable in gauging ice depth, flooding technique, use of wash water, and initiating maintenance Ice resurfacing experience and ice maintenance experience Proficient ability to use a variety of hand and power tools Experience in facility maintenance and operations is preferred Experience in Chiller equipment preferred Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays Working Conditions Work is performed in several settings including a standard office environment at a recreational facility. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, but most work will be done on the ice. Maintenance and cleaning equipment used include ice resurfacers, ice maintenance equipment, skate sharpeners, vacuums, mops, and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility. Physical Requirements This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating. Must be able to operate heavy machinery.
