Job Description
Job description We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our senior living community in the Sterling Heights, MI area. If you have experience in building and grounds maintenance, we want to talk to you! We are a growing company that is passionate about seniors and our employees. Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, the maintenance technician is responsible daily preventive maintenance program including inspection, repair, and general maintenance of the building, grounds and apartments and make-readies. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare vacant resident apartments, including painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs. General maintenance knowledge (replacing faucets and changing filters). Responsible for proper use and storage of tools and materials. Respond to emergency calls as needed. Regular attendance is required. Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees. Demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability. Follow all OSHA, Fire, Health Department and safety requirements. Skills/Qualifications High School Diploma and current driver's license and proof of insurance. Two years' experience in maintenance such as painting or carpentry required. Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and general apartment and building maintenance required. Experience in the safe handling of tools normally used in maintenance projects required. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
