Job Description
Job Overview Must have a high school diploma or have passed the General Education Development (GED) test. Apprenticeship skill of at least one year, or equivalent experience in one of the following crafts: electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, or utility service. Refrigerant certification as required by 40 CFR part 82 Subpart f. Equivalent experience as a general utility or maintenance mechanic in an industrial or commercial establishment is also acceptable. Must be physically able to perform duties which involve bending, climbing, and heavy lifting. Possess ability to operate tractors, lawnmowers saws, and small power tools, and to make minor repairs to grass cutting equipment. Be able to travel, operate a motor vehicle, and meet Housing Authority drive approval standards. Loss of vehicle operator license, or insurability by employer, will result in employee not being able to perform the duties of this position.
