Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Carry out floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors to ensure they remain safe and visually appealing. Maintain facilities by performing routine repairs such as fixing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and other tasks. Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Support overall maintenance efforts by inspecting the premises regularly and reporting any hazards or repairs needed. Requirements/Preferred experience (willing to train) Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors. Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices and safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward cleanliness and upkeep. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary.
