Seeking a hardworking Ranch Hand to assist the Ranch Manager on a large family recreational ranch just north of Whitefish, MT. This position is very physical, involves a lot of forestry work, and will have someone outside much of the day year-round. We are looking for someone with a keen attention to detail, who takes pride and ownership in their work, and who can receive direction as well as identify what needs to be done without being told. Most of all we are looking for someone who has strong critical thinking skills, is great at problem solving, and has a strong work ethic. Someone who is happy and able to work independently, but who also recognizes that they are part of a team caring for and maintaining a truly beautiful piece of Montana property. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assisting with the following, as directed:

• Foresty work
• limbing, thinning, and cutting down trees, sawing firewood, mulching/chipping other material
• previous experience required
• Agriculture
• discing, and planting; some years haying
• Equipment maintenance
• regular cleaning and maintenance of all equipment from a chainsaw to an excavator
• Yard maintenance
• regular mowing, weed eating, fertilizing; seasonal thatching, raking, spraying
• Building maintenance
• Bridge and road maintenance and repair, including plowing snow
• Occasional animal care like walking family pets, helping with future horses
• Other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications
• Forestry/Logging and chainsaw experience

Pay:

$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
