A Maintenance Helper or Assistant assists maintenance mechanics. Repairs and maintains equipment and machines, such as cars or heating systems. May assemble or adjust machines as directed by a head mechanic.
Milkco is looking to hire a 3rd Shift Maintenance Foreman in our Maintenance department. The position is full-time. The hours are 9:00 pm until 5:30 am, Monday through Friday with one Saturday a month and project weekends. Milkco, Inc . is a Fluid Milk Plant. We process, bottle, and ship fluid milk, juice, tea, and eggnog. Established in 1982 with 50 employees, the plant has grown to 250+. Experience Needed:
2 Years of Industrial Mechanic Experience Some Experience in: Electrical, Pneumatic, and Fabrication Some Management Experience Preferred Must want to work and have excellent attendance Need to be cooperative and able to get along with a lot of people Must be a team player with the ability to contribute in a team atmosphere
Job Description:
Responsible for learning all maintenance procedures associated with the equipment and the employees, so that these procedures can be monitored. Responsible for overseeing Maintenance crew. In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, be sure that an adequate number of people are scheduled to work each night. Handle Maintenance work for the entire plant being sure to get involved with any personnel or mechanical problems. Communicate with all employees regularly, always looking for ways or ideas to improve on waste, lost time, or product quality. Communicate with preceding and following shift management, notifying them of any areas that will need attention. Will be heavily involved with our SQF Program and MVP Plant Program.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand a minimum of 7 ½ hours per day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Extended periods of overhead lifting, kneeling, bending, stooping, climbing and other related movements may be required
Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening (provided by Milkco). Will conduct a Criminal Background Check. Must pass an E-Verify Screening.
