This position will be responsible for assisting in grounds maintenance including mowing, weed eating, cleaning walkways, mulching, planting, and pruning as well as the collection of trash and recycling. Experience in moving heavy furniture and equipment and working knowledge and ability to safely move heavy furnishings and equipment is needed in this position. Ability to work under the pressure of time and ability to be flexible in doing various types of work, including possible grounds maintenance. A valid driver's license is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Work Schedule and Hours Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Due to the nature of position and departmental needs there will be regularly scheduled work hours on weekends, scheduled in advance. There may be changes in weekly and weekend schedule as needed. All Campus Operations staff are designated as University Critical Personnel in accordance with UNC Asheville policy.
