Duties Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to ensure healthy and attractive grounds. Operate hand tools and power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, mowers, and hedge cutters safely and efficiently. Support irrigation system installation, inspection, repair, and seasonal adjustments to promote optimal water management. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to aid in proper landscape care and pest management strategies. Perform groundskeeping activities like snow plowing during winter months and hardscape maintenance to keep outdoor areas safe and accessible. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling equipment and chemicals like pesticides; maintain a clean work environment. Assist with tree trimming, landscaping projects, and general grounds maintenance to enhance aesthetic appeal and safety. Experience Prior outdoor work experience preferred; familiarity with landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is a plus. Basic mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools is highly desirable. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and pesticide management enhances your effectiveness on the job. Ability to follow safety procedures meticulously while working with outdoor machinery and chemicals is essential. Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions is required; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor confidently.
