I run many short-term rentals in downtown Raleigh, all within a 5 minute drive of each other. This job would include mostly maintenance/handyman work, sometimes doing a detailed inspection of the places as needed, and general random jobs as needed like picking up used items, helping guests with questions (typically how to work TV/Roku or thermostat), unclogging drains/toilets, house upkeep projects (power washing/painting), etc. The job would be to correct any problems that are found during guest stays or during inspections, so I'm looking for a problem-solver, a self-reliant handy creative person. You'll be independent, so trust and reliability are paramount. You'll need to make purchases occasionally of items which I will reimburse. It's a bonus if you have stayed in short-term rentals (like AirBnB or VRBO) and know what that clientele is looking for in a stay.

I sometimes assign tasks through an app, so you would need a smartphone. You would also need your own basic tools/supplies. Will pay $35-40 for the first hour and $25-30 for any hour after that on the same day (most jobs would be less than an hour). This is an on-call job, so it's hard to say how many hours per month, but the average would be around a total of 6-10 hours per month. Work days will be flexible but need someone who can get to the area easily and is able to stop by a place during the day between 11am-4pm on most days if needed. There are occasionally emergency needs from guests that I would ask you to respond to on the same day so flexibility/reliability is important. This would be a good job for a retired person, student, worker with some flexibility in work hours (as this would often need to be between 11am-4pm no matter the day) or freelancer looking for some extra cash.
