Job Description
Overview Join our Public Works Department as a Maintenance Worker II and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our community's infrastructure. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors on diverse maintenance projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality roadways, utilities, and public facilities. If you thrive in outdoor environments, possess mechanical aptitude, and are committed to safety, this role is perfect for you! Duties Work in this position is described as heavy, requiring good physical condition to exert force constantly to move objects. Employee is subject to hazards, including mechanical equipment and atmospheric conditions due to exposure to fumes, odors, dust, and noise. Requirements An applicant may have any combination of experience and education sufficient to meet the basic requirements of work and necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. A valid North Carolina drivers license (Class C) is required. It is preferred, but not required for the applicant to also hold a valid North Carolina CDL License (Class B)
