Benefits are an additional 65% on top of the base salary (this is an estimate). Join Team Salisbury as a Street Division Construction Maintenance Worker / Sr. Construction Maintenance Worker. Our city relies on the hard work of our employees to provide essential services such as asphalt, concrete and stormwater repairs, maintenance and installation. This position also supports seasonal operations such as leaf collection, snow removal, and large-scale storm cleanup efforts. The ideal candidate would be interested in: Learning new trades such as concrete finishing, laying asphalt, or making storm water repairs, and tree work. Learning how to operate equipment such as excavators, loaders, street sweepers, skid steers, dump trucks, and tractors Working with a diverse team to solve problems that range from setting up a parade to rebuilding a street. Working on jobs that will be used and enjoyed by the public like improving our waterways, building new sidewalks, restoring a historic bridge, or operating leaf machines in the collection of leaves. Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or GED Must have a valid NC Driver's License. Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time. Ability to work after normal business hours in on-call and emergency situations.

Preferred Qualities:

Class A or B CDL Relative experience related to asphalt, stormwater, or concrete construction. Knowledge of Municipal policies and practices. Knowledge and experience using hand tools. Ability to operate light to heavy equipment.

October 2, 2026, weekly application review Salary range: $18.52 - $29.20 (Depending on Experience) $2,000.00 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after completion of a successful probationary period
