Join Our Team as a Caretaker at Parker's Maple Barn in Mason, NH! Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? Parker's, a beloved restaurant, gift shop, and sugar house nestled in Mason, NH (right near Ashby & Townsend, MA), is searching for a skilled and reliable caretaker to help keep our operation running smoothly. If you're a jack-of-all-trades with a knack for maintenance and a passion for keeping things in tip-top shape, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Be Doing As our caretaker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that Parker's remains a welcoming and well-maintained destination for our customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Daily Cleaning & Upkeep :

Vacuum and sweep floors, wash floors, empty outdoor trash receptacles, water plants, and rake areas around the building.

Outdoor Maintenance :

Mow lawns, trim weeds, shovel snow, operate a snowblower, spread sand and salt, and maintain parking lots (including filling potholes) and more...

Maple Syrup Operations :

Bottle and fill syrup for the gift shop and kitchen, maintain syrup inventory, wash sap buckets and maple equipment, and assist with tapping trees and collecting sap.

Equipment & Facility Care :

Maintain exhaust fans, change water filters, clean windows, change light bulbs, and ensure equipment is in working order.

Seasonal Projects :

Stack, move, and cut firewood/pellets, varnish and stain surfaces during winter summer/break, and assist with other seasonal tasks.

Deliveries & Inventory :

Help load/unload deliveries and stock supplies for the restaurant, gift shop, and sugar house. What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Experience :

At least 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance, caretaking, or a similar role.

Physical Capability :

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions. Knowledge of the

Restaurant Industry :

Restaurant experience is strongly preferred to help you navigate our unique environment.

Flexibility :

This is a 30-40 hour position, 4 or 5 days per week with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. (While working weekends regularly is not required, you must be available to work seasonal/occasional weekends).

A Handy Skillset :

From driving a tractor, snow removal to equipment/grounds maintenance, you should be comfortable tackling a variety of tasks with a can-do attitude. Why Parker's?
