About Mass Audubon Camps Imagine a place where children can develop their interest in the outdoors, play together, and gain comfort and confidence in the natural world. About This Position Property Assistants work with Wildwood's Property Manager to complete maintenance and housekeeping tasks in order to maintain clean facilities in a good working order. Individuals may be hired with a focus on housekeeping, maintenance, or both. Duties and Responsibilities Assist Property Managers with housekeeping and/or maintenance tasks as directed, including: Cleaning of camp facilities as scheduled, including bathrooms and shower house Painting and minor exterior work Minor construction tasks Toilet repairs and composting toilet maintenance Other tasks according to training Collect and dispose of trash and compost Maintain a high level of safety Operate tools and equipment safely according to training Only use tools and equipment when directed by Property Managers Act as a full participant of the Wildwood Community Abide by all Wildwood and Mass Audubon policies and procedures Assist with Kitchen and Dining Hall tasks when assigned Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications At Mass Audubon, our highest priority is finding the best candidate for the job. Required qualifications as per New Hampshire Department of Health & Human Services regulations, American Camp Association standards and
Mass Audubon Policy:
At least 18 years of age Hold current First Aid and CPR certifications or participate in Mass Audubon provided training to obtain certification prior to the beginning of camp Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs Willing to be outdoors for several hours per day in most weather conditions Ability to effectively interact with others, including children, in camp's youth-centered environment Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work assignment Willing and able to use golf carts, all-terrain vehicles, hand tools, power tools, paint brushes, cleaning supplies, landscaping tools Desired Qualifications Prior maintenance and/or construction experience Valid driver's license Work Schedule This is a seasonal position beginning in June 2026 and continuing through August 31, 2026. Additional hours outside of this time frame may be available. Part-time position available. Property staff will be expected to work weekend days. Perks of Working at Mass Audubon Free First Aid/CPR training class offered to staff in June "Pro- Deal" discounts on outdoor clothing, equipment and more Network with Mass Audubon staff (Conservation, Education, Climate Science, etc.) Compensation and Benefits This position's pay range is $20.00-$22.00 per hour; actual rate of pay will reflect level of experience and qualifications relative to position requirements. Compensation includes lunch daily, with breakfast available most days. This is not a benefits eligible position. Other Requirements Employees must successfully complete a CORI and SORI Background Check and a Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable) is required. All Mass Audubon Camp Staff undergo mandatory training prior to interacting with campers.
