Performs a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks for the various building locations under the jurisdiction of Morris County Buildings & Grounds. Under direction performs a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks involved in masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other types of maintenance work. Also will have the ability to properly use equipment materials and supplies. Candidate shall be required to report for snow removal during the winter season.

Routine Maintenance examples:

Replaces washers and gaskets, and makes general service repairs. Replaces light bulbs, fuses, wall plates, fixture cords and switches. Cleans tools & equipment and keeps simple records. Candidate shall possess a valid New Jersey driver's license. Knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods, practices, occupational hazards and safety precautions in performing general maintenance and repair work.
