In this position, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of our residential apartment community, with some maintenance duties as needed. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for our residents. This individual should be reliable, self-motivated, and willing to assist the maintenance team with a variety of maintenance duties when needed. To excel in this position, you must have a strong work ethic, be organized, and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Clean common areas, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, leasing offices, and other shared spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and maintain all common areas of the property.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of trash properly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, dumpster areas, and other exterior grounds.
  • Pick up litter, leaves, and debris throughout the property.
  • Assist with maintenance duties as needed, including painting, changing light bulbs, moving materials, minor repairs, and other assigned tasks.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage to management promptly.
  • Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, salting walkways, grounds cleanup, and light landscaping.
  • Respond professionally and courteously to residents and visitors.
  • Help maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the apartment community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Experience:
  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, apartment communities, housekeeping, building maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and the use of hand tools is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep the property clean and organized.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in your work.
  • Valid driver's license required .
  • Spanish is required.
English is a plus.
