This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Maintenance Assistant:

Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist with general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry Complete repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems Respond to work orders and maintenance requests from staff Help maintain clean and safe common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces Support seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping Monitor supplies and tools, and report any hazards or needed repairs Help with room setups, furniture moves, and facility inspections Always follow safety and infection control protocols
Maintenance Assistant Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Maintenance/skilled trade experience preferred Basic knowledge of building systems and tools Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness Reliable team player with good communication skills Flexible availability (weekends/on-call as needed) Healthcare or long-term care experience a plus We are an equal opportunity employer.
