Seasonal, Full-Time Position Summary The Seasonal Shop Mechanic Helper assists the maintenance team with the inspection, servicing, repair, and upkeep of ski resort vehicles, equipment, and facilities. This position supports mechanics in a safe, efficient, and organized shop environment while helping ensure resort equipment remains operational throughout the ski season. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with maintenance and repair of snowcats, snowmobiles, utility vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other resort machinery.
• Perform routine tasks including lubrication, fluid checks, filter changes, tire maintenance, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Clean, organize, and maintain the shop, work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Help transport parts, supplies, and equipment to and from maintenance locations.
• Wash vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Assist with equipment inspections and documentation.
• Support inventory management by organizing parts and reporting low stock levels.
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Respond to maintenance calls and assist with equipment troubleshooting under supervision.
• Assist with seasonal setup and shutdown of resort equipment.
• Perform snow removal and other operational support duties as assigned by General Manager. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in equipment maintenance.
• Previous experience with vehicles, heavy equipment, farming equipment, or mechanical work is preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in cold, snowy, and variable weather conditions.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills. Working Conditions This position requires working in a maintenance shop and outdoor mountain environment. Employees may be exposed to noise, grease, fuels, lubricants, chemicals, moving machinery, and extreme weather conditions. Benefits (if applicable)
