Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment across various settings, including manufacturing plants, residential properties, and commercial facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety. The Maintenance Worker will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and the overall upkeep of our facilities. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC equipment Troubleshoot issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to maintain equipment integrity Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems Carry out residential painting projects and general facility upkeep Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Supervise or assist with projects involving facilities maintenance and repair tasks Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities Assist with supervising maintenance staff or contractors when necessary Provide excellent customer service to internal clients by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential painting Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working with schematics and electrical systems Familiarity with PLCs, CMMS software, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools Welding skills and electrical experience are highly desirable Supervising or leadership experience is a plus but not required Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and clients Prior experience in customer service within a maintenance or facilities environment is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your technical skills will be valued.
