Resort Grounds & Equipment Operator $28-$38/Hour + Overtime & Benefits | Year-Round Career Lake George RV Park | Queensbury, NY Lake George RV Park, one of America's premier camping resorts, is seeking a dependable, motivated Resort Grounds & Equipment Operator to join our year-round Facilities & Operations team. This is not a traditional landscaping or seasonal groundskeeping position. We are seeking a career-minded individual with equipment operation, construction, excavation, property maintenance, landscaping or similar hands-on experience who wants to develop broader skills and responsibilities. This is a long-term, year-round career opportunity , not temporary, seasonal, supplemental or semi-retirement employment. You do not need to arrive knowing how to do everything we do. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, hands-on ability, mechanical aptitude and, most importantly, the desire and ability to learn, grow and take on greater responsibility. What You'll Do This position focuses primarily on maintaining and improving our 130-acre resort property, operating equipment, and supporting construction and facilities projects.

Responsibilities include:

Grounds and property maintenance Operating loaders, backhoes, wood chippers, lifts and other equipment Roadway and drainage maintenance Landscaping and tree maintenance Spring and fall cleanup Moving and installing stone, soil and other materials Snow plowing, snow blowing, sanding and winter property maintenance Assisting with construction, carpentry and renovation projects Assisting Facilities Technicians with maintenance projects Maintaining and servicing equipment General physical work associated with maintaining a large resort property Responding to changing operational needs throughout the resort Who We're Looking For Relevant experience may include: Excavation or site work Construction Heavy equipment operation Landscaping Municipal/highway or public works Property maintenance Agriculture Snow removal Grounds maintenance Other hands-on trades Experience is important, but reliability, work ethic, attitude, mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are equally important. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. Our Team Approach Lake George RV Park operates differently from many traditional maintenance departments. We maintain a large, highly active resort property, and our Facilities & Operations employees work as a team. Although each position has a primary area of responsibility, there are no strictly defined boundaries between grounds, maintenance and operations when the property needs our attention. During busy periods, spring and fall cleanup, construction projects, snow events or unexpected situations, everyone contributes. Every member of our team should therefore be comfortable performing physical work, working outdoors, assisting with grounds maintenance and pitching in wherever needed. Schedule & Hospitality Lifestyle Team members should expect intensive spring, summer and fall operations with a lighter winter schedule. During our peak operating season, generally April through November, weekends, overtime and six-day workweeks are usually required. During winter, the schedule becomes more predictable and generally consists of a five-day workweek (with weekends off) focused on facility improvements, equipment servicing, snow operations, projects and preparation for the upcoming season. Compensation & Benefits $28-$38 per hour , based upon experience, equipment skills and qualifications.
